World's Longest Zip Line Labadee, Haiti

Dragon’s Breath is the world’s longest over water zip line and can only be experienced if you cruise with Royal Caribbean to their private island of Labadee. This zip line is unlike any other zip line excursion I have done. From a platform 500 feet above the beach you will zip down 2600 feet care free over the water at a high speed to the beautiful land below while soaking in the view of your ship and the island.

It was a three-hour long extravaganza just to get suited up and make the trek up the mountain in Jeeps that truly off-roaded for what seemed like forever. Here I am all set up and ready to launch. Pretty sure I had the full-on death grip happening. Yeeeikes.

It was a very windy day and our instructor provided strict guidelines to create a starfish (arms and legs extended) for the entire ride in an attempt to slow yourself down. Here is a video to provide a tiny glimpse of what this exhilarating experience felt like. Excuse the video quality, it’s shaky…well, because I was TOTALLY shaking plus I wasn’t looking in the screen at all.

Bottom line? I rank this experience among my top five of all time. This memory is burned in my brain for—like—ever.
